The Forever 27 club

Ok guys, I think, all of you know, that Amy Winehouse died yesterday, ....she was 27.
Let´s come 43 years back......

3rd of July 1969...Brian Jones, very talented past member of The Rolling Stones (he left, or rather, was thrown out of the band about two or three months ago), but also a junkie, was found dead in his swimming pool.
Age- 27.

18th of September 1970...Jimi Hendrix, one of the best artists ever, aged 27, found dead.
There are many speculations about his death....drug overdose, asphyxiation from vomit, murder, ...

16 days later- on 4th of October 1970....Janis Joplin, also famous singer, hippie, aged 27, found dead.
The cause of her death- heroin overdose.

3rd of July 1971, exactly 2 years after Brian Jones´ death, .... Jim Morrison, singer of great band The Doors, was found dead in bath of his flat in Paris. Age- 27. .........Jim´s love of life Pamela Courson died 3 years after him of heroin overdose, aged 27

5th of April 1994..... Kurt Cobain, famous artist, member of Nirvana, dead. (He was found on 8th of April)
He was dependant on heroin, his wife Courtney as well.
The Cause of his death also isnť sure...he was shot in his head, he left a letter for his family, but he had a lot of heroin in his body and some people say, that his suicide wasn´t accomplishable and that he was murdered.
Sure is his age.....27.

And yesterday- on 23rd of July 2011......Amy Winehouse, junky singer, found dead. Her Age ? - 27!

When I saw an article about Amy Winehouse´s death, I looked at her age and when I saw she was 27 I became shocked. This isn´t normal! As I saw it I remembered the Forever 27 club- sure you registered age of all these people- 27. I wanted to get more information about it and on Wikipedia I found out, that there´s much more artists, who died in the age of 27. .....What does it mean? Is twenty-seven dangerous, critical age for all famous people ? If you survive the age of twenty-seven as a talented musician and junkie, you survive everything ?

Let it be

Several days ago I saw the last Beatles movie Let it be and in my opinion it was great. The music was naturally amusing and George was so sweet there, like everywhere :)). The atmosphere was very sad and Paul pontificated everybody, mostly George. But when they sang, it was amazing and i also like the part, where George was playing and singing I me mine and while he was doing that, John and Yoko were dancing waltz, it was nice. The final concert was perfect, but the police should be really ashamed, that they ended up the last live performance of the best band ever-The Beatles!

WODSTOCK '69 --->> Michael Lang

During this holiday, that I'm having now I have read an awesome book.....it's called The road to woodstock and it's written by Michael Lang, the main organizator of this festival. After reading this book i feel quite influenced and i really can't imagine doing so much work as Michael and his team made. It was very hard, but they managed and the festival was fab. Althought 3 people died, more than 500 000 people had a great weekend in the town of Bethel. The action took place on fields of Max Yasgour, who was very helpful, that he allowed that and helped with food and accomodation of many people.
Some of artists who took action are: The Who; Ravi Shankar; Jefferson Airplane; Grateful Dead; Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, and others......
Althought Woodstock was held also in 1994 and 1999 (after 35 and 40 years), nothing wasn't as great, as 3 days of peace and music in 1969.
I'd like to recommend this book about planning so huge event and about the festival itself everyone, it is a great book!! :))

P.S. The movie about Woodstock '69 is also very successful ;)

Ringo Starr live at Prague

On 29th June I was at Ringo Starr's Prague concert and I must say it was really amazing. Ringo was awesome, as i expected, but i didn't like other members of his All Starr band very much. Sometimes i was a little bored, but then came Ringo and i was amazed again. :))

The most beautiful model ever

This my new article is going to deal with Twiggy, the most beautiful model. I love her, she was so another and pretty.     Her haircut..........her figure................her make-up! .......->so cool

So now I'm gonna tell you her story.........
She was born on 19th September 1949 as Lesley Hornby.
She was a normal feautureless skinny girl, who lived in London with her parents of not much hight attitude.
One London Hair studio ordered few photos of her short haircut, so she went to an atelier of photographer Barry Lategan.
It could end up, but Lategan was totally thunderstruck of her photogenic.
Because she was so skinny and twiggy, she started being called Twiggy.
Daily express also noticed her and soon there was an article with her picture and title: The Face of 1966.
She became the first supermodel in the world and the most desired model of 60's.
Twiggy was also a singer and i love her song Beautiful dreams, but her other songs are great as well.
Just in the age  of twenty she ended with modeling ans started to concetrate on designing and her store.
Then she also successfully acted and made some action for animals.
She has one daughter with her first husband, who died of heart attack, now she is married to the actor Leigh Lawson, who has adopted her daughter.
Although she was so much slim, she makes action against anorexia and drastic emaciation.
As she was an icon for millions of girls all over the world in 60's, she is the biggest icon for me now! :)
